For as long as I can remember there have been 2 constants about Yom Kippur (other than the religious). The first is Steve & Jerry's annual Yom Kippur motorcycle ride. Traditionally Steve & I would meet after services in the early afternoon and then ride through the Connecticut countryside. Most often we would meander into the northwest hills, sometimes east across the river. We had to get home early enough for Steve to make last minute pickups for Bonnie. At sundown a truly unusual assortment of Cheshire folk would gather at S&B's for a traditional breakfast meal. It is always a good time to renew old friendships with people who through changing lifestyles have grown somewhat appart or at least do not get to see one another often.
