New London, Connecticut Waterfront Arts Festival
September 5-7, 2003

The New London Waterfront Festival is held in downtown New London, Connecticut alongside Long Island Sound. Each year, the USCG Barque Eagle acts as the host vessel for this literary, art, and maritime festival in New London, docking shortly after Labor Day upon her return from her traditional summer cruise. She is joined each year by other Tall Ships® that travel to the festival to celebrate maritime heritage. Each vessel, which this year include the Providence, Mystic Seaport’s Brilliant, and the Lettie G. Howard, a National Historic Landmark homeported at the South Street Seaport, will be open for dockside tours free to the public.
The following photographs were taken at the New London Festival on September 6, 2003. The annual event is held on the waterfront and most of the following pictures were shot at or near the USCG Barque Eagle.
All photos were taken with a Canon 10D. Post processing was done in Paint Shop Pro Version 8.01.
