The University of Connecticut (UConn) Women's Basketball Team played the Virginia Tech Hokies
at the Hartford Civic Center on March 7, 2004 before another sellout crowd. The next UConn women's
basketball game will be the Big East tournament semifinals. The 48-to-34 win over Virginia Tech
was anything but a demonstration of UConn's overwhelming ability on the court. Barbara Turner led
the top-seeded Huskies with 14 points and Jessica Moore added eleven as UConn and West Virginia each
had season-low point totals.
Diana Taurasi was in foul trouble and played just 13 minutes of the second half for UConn. She finished
with four points on 2-of-10 shooting. A less than sterling performance from the superstar.
Virginia Tech made just five field goals in the second half, the last two coming in the final 40 seconds.
It seemed that they would not score a field goal at all in the second half until they finally hit one
with only five minutes or so left in the game.
The following photographs attempt to give a picture story of the game.
All photos were shot using a Canon 10D with a 70-200 f2.8 IS lens.
They have all been post processed with PSP V8.1.
